Yes, the shirts that say, “I (Heart) -fill in the blank here-” can be cute or even funny in the right situation.  Even still, I’m getting a little sick of them.  That’s why I giggled when I saw this one, the I (Heart) Accuracy t-shirt.

This would be especially great to wear out to a party with med school friends, or to go back home to mom (who, of course, would roll her eyes and sigh at the grossness).  The I Heart Accuracy t-shirt can be had for less than $20, and it comes printed on an American Apparel tee.

I’ve never been a huge Seinfeld fan, but I can certainly appreciate the idea of Festivus.  I love non-religious holidays with minimal responsibilities, as they’re a lot more fun and less divisive.  This Festivus T-Shirt lets you show your support for the famed Seinfeld holiday, and if you can get enough co-workers to wear them, you might be able to get human resources to recognize it as a real holiday and give everyone the day off.

Most of the people who know me don’t think of me as a particularly happy person.  Maybe it’s because I don’t walk around with a smile plastered to my face like I need to convince the world that every moment in my life is a never-ending thrill.  All the same, I’m an extremely happy person.  Apart from a couple of years in the late 90s, every single year has been better than the last.  I guess that’s just the up-side to growing up with chaos and near poverty.

Since I don’t feel the need to grin all the time, though, I figured that this vintage-styled Happy Face T-Shirt could do the job for me.  With a shirt doing the smiling for me, I can use my energy to focus on more important things, like making memories, pondering the people and things I’m thankful for, and thinking of ways to enjoy life even more.

Perhaps I’m just on a Calvin Klein kick these last few days, but I love this  Calvin Klein Jeans Burnout Floral Tee.  The shade of blue is almost universally flattering, and the combination of the v-neck and the scattered graphics makes it a little preppy and clean cut while still looking really casual and laid-back.  At $45, it’s also fairly reasonable for a shirt you could wear frequently for relaxation, shopping, running errands, or working out.

People just don’t camp like they used to.  Today, the few people I know who do camp do it with an SUV full of overpriced accessories from REI and Dick’s Sporting Goods, which is hardly roughing it.  When I was little, I can recall camping with nothing but a tent, some battered old pans, and some sleeping bags.  Although I’m not sure I’d like to repeat that any time…ever…I still appreciate the fact that I did it a few times.

That’s why I couldn’t help but smile when I saw this “Camping Is In Tents T-Shirt”.  It immediately brought up memories of camping trips as a kid, and I’m sure a lot of other people have the same reaction.  In fact, it makes me think the shirt could be a great conversation starter - everyone you run into will want to tell you all about their camping experiences, which could be a great way to pick someone up.

Just don’t act like the “Camping is In Tents” guy below, or you’ll ruin the effect.  Does he, or does he not look like he’s doing the Carlton dance?

Although I’m not sure that I’m bold enough to wear the Cupcake vs Muffin t-shirt, I do think it’s awfully cute for a tee. Ladies, if you’re wearing this one, you officially revoke all rights to complain about men staring at your chest for that day.

What I don’t get, though, is why there is so much hostility between cupcakes and muffins. Was there some kind of falling out that I missed? Last I heard, they were both absolutely delicious and loaded with carbs and sugar. Has something changed? Will the secret be revealed if I go ahead and buy the Cupcake vs Muffin t-shirt?

Looking at this Indiana Jones t-shirt (one of the few I’ve seen made for women), I can’t help but be reminded of how much I’d like to find my own Indiana Jones.  Try as I might, I just can’t make myself care about dating paper-pushing corporate types, or even your garden-variety rebellious sorts.

Seriously, how much of a buzz kill would it be to say, “Honey, I think we should jet off to the Cyclades islands this weekend?” only to be met with, “Sorry darling, I have to file these reports at work and there’s just no way to get it done and travel the world in search of knowledge and adventure…”

Does that make me crazy?   Don’t get me wrong, I know someone has to work the 9-5, just like someone has to make the hamburgers and someone has to pick up the trash - I just don’t want my man to be doing it.  I want a man smart enough to make his own way, just as I’ve made mine.  The man I marry won’t be dependent on some corporate boss telling him how much money he’s worth and when he can stop working for a whopping 2 weeks out of every 52.

Umm…yeah.  So I got a little carried away there.  Still, I love Indiana Jones, and I love this Indiana Jones Tee by Junk Food.

There’s a very good chance that some would say I’m too old for Delia’s, but I really don’t care. If you want a cute t-shirt that doesn’t fit like it was made for a lumberjack, it’s a great place to go. That’s especially true since they started making more t-shirts that actually work with low-rise jeans. Really, if you’re the kind of girl who wants your butt hanging out in back, why bother getting a t-shirt and covering the cleavage? Just go topless already and get it over with.

But back to the point. I love this Butterflies Tee from Delia’s. It reminds me a bit of those crappy airbrushed paintings you can get at state fairs, or those hideous velour printed couches from the 1970s - and yet somehow, it works. The overall effect is a mixture of retro cool and “So cute I want to run through sunny meadows and snuggle kittens by the barrel-full”.

As long as I’m t-shirt shopping, why not check out a few more. This More Trees Please t-shirt is pretty cute, too, and surprisingly cheap for being printed on organic cotton. It’s rare to get ANY t-shirt for $12 these days, much less a t-shirt that you can feel good about. This shirt (like most of the shirts over at Customized Girl) is printed on a Bella plain t-shirt, which is nice because theirs tend to be a bit longer than the usual American Apparel shirts that most sites carry.
