Unusual & Unconventional Gift Ideas
If you’re anything like me, you probably love modern style but hate the fact that so much of it is uncomfortable when it’s translated into furniture. For a long time, this was such a problem that I swore off modern furniture entirely. Lately, though, there’s been a rise in manufacturers who know how to make furniture that looks good and still manages to be comfortable.
As I was browsing for some kind of a modern leather office chair, I found this selection - all of which look like they’d be both comfortable and cute (though the Muse may not be for anyone who sits for LONG periods of time). What do you think? Click here to view the entire selection.
Also, on an unrelated note (ignore this if you don’t know what I’m talking about) - The throat sighs!
I absolutely love this new comforter set from Calvin Klein. It’s not often that you find an attractive bedding set that’s not so overtly feminine that no man would ever sleep in it. This set manages to pull it off, though. It’s a little pricey, but if you have the cash to spare, it’s infinitely more attractive than most of what I’ve seen in discount stores.

If you know any monkey fans, this monkey tshirt would be a cute addition to their wardrobe. It’s cut for women, but it’s extra long to avoid those embarrassing moments when you bend over or lean forward and end up showing your butt to the world.
You can get the Monkey Tee at Delia’s by clicking the picture below. Be sure to order a size bigger than usual, as their stuff usually runs a little on the small side AND it’s a cotton shirt…so you know how that goes.

Monkey Tee

Monkey graphic. Cotton T-shirt. Red. XS-XL. 27″ long. USA.
I am a huge fan of childhood kitsch gone grown-up, so I found this silver Rubber Chicken Necklace absolutely adorable. It’s way silly, but made of adult materials so you could actually get away with wearing it. What do you think? Is a Rubber Chicken Necklace too goofy, or would you wear it? I’m picturing it on casual Saturdays out, or artsy types…or just on anyone with a good sense of humor.
You can get your own Silver Rubber Chicken Necklace here.
